'Healthcare with a Heart'

For more than 40 years, Moses Lake Community Health Center has been dedicated to serving the families of central Washington, expanding our services with the goal of building healthier communities through high quality, compassionate, and comprehensive care.

MLCHC is governed by a board of directors, which regularly assesses the needs of community residents. At least 60% of board members are patients of the health center.

Founded in 1978 as a regional dental clinic, MLCHC quickly added physicians to meet the need for medical care as well. The initial staff consisted of one physician, one physician’s assistant, and two dentists. Today, more than 300 staff members provide primary, preventive, and specialty care along with dental services to every part of our community.

At MLCHC we are Welcoming, Caring, Helpful, and Professional. Our Service Standards are the foundation of the culture at our organization. Our staff is committed to providing the quality and compassionate care that our patients deserve, every time.

The Moses Lake Community Health Center is committed to providing high quality, compassionate, and comprehensive primary health services for the entire family, with a special focus on the underserved and migrant farm-workers in our community.

Continually transform our health care delivery system to improve the health of the communities we serve. We will relentlessly pursue perfection and be driven by continuous learning and growing. We will achieve superior clinical outcomes and the highest levels of satisfaction with a patient and family-centered focus.

Our goal is the intersection of best performance in these four areas:

  • Improved Health: Tangible improvement in the health of our patients and our community
  • Patient Experience: Enhanced patient care experience for each individual, including quality, access, and compassionate service
  • Controlled Costs: Costs of care for both the patient and our clinics minimized
  • Growth: Continued growth of our service array and our facilities to best serve our patient population and community

Moses Lake Community Health Center, Quincy Community Health CenterEphrata Community Dental Clinic, and Quincy Student Health and Wellness Center are private, not for profit providers of health and dental care with many services in each location. Everyone is welcome at our clinics! We offer high quality, affordable health services for people of all ages. At our Community Health Centers, we care for the whole person, not just their illness. All of our facilities accept all forms of payment including most health insurance plans. We also offer eligibility assistance for those without insurance to help find a suitable insurance plan. For those who do not qualify for an insurance plan, we offer a sliding fee scale that discounts charges based on income and family size.

Over the next three years, the drivers for our work and decision-making will be performance on these key strategies:

  1. Provide a Robust Family Practice
    Build our family practice to include the spectrum of services that enables us to serve and retain our patients from infancy to eldercare
  2. Provide Superior and Compassionate Service
    Intensive focus on enhancing the patient's experience of our clinics, strengthening our ability to attract new patients, retaining current patients, and increasing patient referral
  3. Maximize Capacity & Anticipate Growth Opportunities
    Grow in current facilities to optimize capacity while anticipating opportunities for future facility needs and expansion into new communities

The Health Center offers a full complement of staff ready to serve individuals and families with significant health needs related to poverty, limited access to healthcare, language and cultural differences, and psychosocial issues. The Health Center addresses these barriers in a variety of ways, including:

  • Providing high quality, comprehensive primary care services regardless of a patient’s ability to pay;
  • Educating patients on ways to make their homes and work healthier environments;
  • Employing multi-lingual staff who also share the culture of our patients; and
  • Providing mental health, substance abuse, case management, and other support services.

The patient population is diverse, spanning a wide cultural and economic spectrum from migrant farmworkers to private business owners. The Health Center serves a substantial number of Hispanic patients and a growing number of Russian and Ukrainian patients.
