Untreated tooth decay causes pain & infections that may lead to problems with eating, speaking, growing & learning. Kindergarteners in Grant County have worse decay rates compared to children across the state.

Make sure you brush and floss every day–especially before bedtime. Drink water or milk instead of sugar-sweetened beverages. Limit intake of decay-causing foods, such as candy or sugary snacks. Use products containing fluoride to help keep tooth enamel strong and stop or even reverse tooth decay. Sealants protect the chewing surfaces from tooth decay by keeping germs and food particles out. Dental sealants and fluoride have the potential to nearly eliminate tooth decay in school-age children. Visiting your dentist regularly will help the overall health of you and your children. Ask your dentist how.
